Moen YB8099SN Mason Holder Nickel Review

I ordered nickel but they sent brass! The item is perfect except they sent the wrong color! But it's killing me having to return it, they're such a cheap price it's not worth spending gas to get it to the open UPS return location. But it sticks out on the sides and you can see the color of brass! Very disappointed! I even went back to my order to make sure I hadn't accidentally picked the wrong color. No!

I ordered this satin nickel toilet paper roll after being unable to find a replacement locally. I used the measurements provided by another reviewer so it fit my holder very well (as you can see in the photo). Although it serves its purpose, it looks cheap. This is NOT satin nickel. it is made entirely of plastic. I will look for better videos.

My former toilet paper holder was very harsh. It was very difficult to remove the mount as the spring inside didn't really feel like a spring. This prompted me to look for a new one. I chose Moen for its low price but was not disappointed. Moen seems less durable than the previous holder I had, but now changing roles is a breeze. The size 5/8" is perfect. I measured before purchasing to make sure it fit. Overall a good product and just what I needed.

I don't like that the product material advertised is zinc with a matte nickel coating but it's just plastic. When I opened it I had to go back and read the entire product description to see where it says it's plastic, but even then it says the pins are zinc. No, the frames are also made of plastic. I think the spring could be metal, but the description doesn't say that. The list is deceptive. They hide the true material of the product from almost the entire page and lie in the product details…

Searching for a typical toilet paper holder I came across this particular holder in the price range but never realized that it differed from your standard toilet paper holder; The ends that fit the holes in your standard toilet roll holder are much smaller and will not fit. I had to go back. Of course there can't be a better price or a nice range, but beware, if you're looking for a typical toilet roll holder, you need a holder with SMALL ENDS. It was too big. Who knew!
