great shifter. good for body & trim

Leather feels good in the hand. Although I couldn't screw on the bottom piece (lower black metal half), it fit well. I prefer this to the Sparco all aluminum gear knob I had.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Neutral color

Fits W204 as replacement parts

Installed 4 months ago on a 2010 Mercedes C-Series manual transmission sedan and looks great. Feels and looks better than the OEM plastic grip. In addition, its length is shorter, which reduces the throw. Buy it.

Pros
  • Best
Cons

Gear knob on body and fairing

I was very impressed with the packaging and design. It was very ergonomic and went well with the rest of my leather interior, but it wasn't as durable as I thought as the leather started to peel off after some time of handling. For the price I expected a little more.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Good gear knob, high quality

Arrived quickly, looks and feels good. The shift knob feels good in the hand and is the perfect size. Unfortunately I had problems installing it on my car (SubaruWRX 2002) despite all the adapters provided, when all the adapters are removed the shift knob does not fit the end of the shift rod.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Approximately

Not suitable for 2005 Porsche 911 (997).

I took a risk as there was little data from other 997 owners. The shifter on the 997 is way too big for this shifter. To get it right you would have to "modify" the metal shifter significantly (i.e. cut/grind to size) which I didn't want to do. Also, the shape of my shifter looks more like a rectangular bar than a round shaft. There are a couple of rubber boot adapters that would help with this if they were a bit smaller, but unless your shifter is cylindrical I'm not sure how well it will fit.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are shortcomings
