WARNING. Inexpensive RCA Patch

Appearance: Great Price: Great. Signal: Travel These jacks need to be lengthened or "stretched" to ensure they don't become a stranglehold on your RCA "connectors". Expanding them is much safer than ripping out the divider and repairing it or paying for the divider to be repaired. A needle, nose clipper, or screwdriver can expand the coupler. BEFORE the first installation, you'll sleep better knowing that a $4 cable won't break a $500 amp. Manufacturer, only for lead time.

Too stiff for such a short cable

These small RCA jumper cables work great, but they are made from very thick and rather stiff cables, so they don't work very well in the situation they were designed for. , which connects audio components in a stack or audio rack. The cable is so rigid that you have to connect both plugs at the same time to avoid corner stress on the already connected cable when you try to connect the second one. I think very thick material should give the impression of "audiophile quality" or "professional"…

I hate and love her.

This is the king of cheap cables, don't worry about anything else, just take it. I hate how they look they are rough and raw and cheap but love that the sound is perfect for the price. You won't get any interference from these cables unless you buy blue jean cables or some other high quality product, just buy them and let them draw you in until you can. They're big, bulky and ugly, but I haven't found anything remotely close to the overall sound, I've tried many cables. I can't stand noisy…

They look good, but they aren't.

I bought four of these because I needed short RCAs from my cable to an RCA converter (AudioControl LC6i). Out of the box, the RCA connectors are loose and will not stay securely attached to the JBL amp or line converter. I had to twist them with pliers and the metal is so cheap that one of the clips broke off at the end. I was really hoping for a lot, because good equipment usually sells for the mono price. Not in this case. However, when I wanted to return it, the Revain account does not allow

Pros
  • Nice packaging

  • Some bugs

Too tight for 1.5ft cable, clamping force is weak, keeps popping out

I need a short cable because I connected the preamp to a power amp on my desk and didn't need a long RCA cable . Usually a thick RCA cable is good because it's durable. For this 1.5ft cable, all that means is that instead of running down the back of the table like most wires, the wire extends straight out the back of the amp and preamp, forming a rigid "U" shape . (You can see it in my photo.) When I move the amp or preamp, the cable falls out because the cable's jacket is very hard and the…

loose connectors and rigid insulation

I don't usually write product reviews, but I think this product deserves a bad rating (and Monoprice generally has pretty decent quality products). I probably should have paid more attention to the numerous reviews that said the insulation was tight and that the connectors fell off, but you might think it wouldn't be that hard to get a halfway decent RCA connection that works. Well, it was wishful thinking. As many other reviewers have noted, the connectors are loose and offer a very weak…

Poor customer service, some cables are broken

I bought two of these cables, 3ft and 6ft. The 6ft had a single fork that is incredibly tight, difficult to attach to equipment and even harder to remove. When I asked to have it replaced I was told it was a feature and not a bug and that all their cables are like that because people seem to only use them with such high end stereos they never use them have to lose weight. Two ridiculous reasons (besides that people will buy RCA cables for more than one application): firstly it's a problem with…

Cons
  • Can't remember

They work exactly as intended

First of all, yes, the cinch cables are analogue. Second, they've been around since 1956! The reviews you read are purely subjective and are based on individual people's ideas of how it should sound. This is my sixth purchase of these Monoprice RCA cables, despite the fact that the price is undoubtedly very attractive. They work exactly as intended. They're not too tight, just twist and squeeze a little and that's it. You can remove them in the same way. In all my 40 years of listening to…
