I installed it on the ceiling in a large room - 20ft x 20ft with 12ft ceilings and the sound quality is fantastic across the range. I installed a pair of Polk RC85i speakers in the next room, powered by the same amp, and the Monoprice speakers definitely have better sound quality and cost half the price of the Polk speakers. My only criticism is that the speaker grille has to wobble a bit to get back in place after wall mounting.

I bought the 8 inch speakers and am incredibly impressed. As a fan of sound, I can say that I didn't expect the sound quality that I would become. I use them on a 6.2 system and they sound incredibly clear. foam for her. It wasn't necessary, but they sound better with boxes. I would say they would be great on the wall but my ceiling is wide open and the box sounds better than an infinity baffle. Thanks Monoprice, this speaker it's amazing!

You can't beat the price you pay. No more columns! I bought two of these, 4 speakers in total. I love this setup and it's way bigger than expected. Don't compare them to a $500 speaker, compare them to $50 each! it's about smoking. Installation is messy and painful, but once you're done, you'll enjoy a great-sounding system.

Was a little disappointed because after reading many reviews and many questions and answers about this ad I thought I would get a pair of woofers although the Listing said "Everyone". (was my main reason to buy0. However, I received a woofer in the package. I haven't installed it yet because I'm still trying to connect it to 4 two-way speakers on a 4-channel receiver.

I bought 8" speakers and I am incredibly impressed. As a sound freak I can say that I was completely unexpected at the sound quality I was going to get from these speakers. They can absolutely be used as stand alone 2.1 stereo speakers. Other than that I use them in a 6.2 setup and they sound incredibly clear. Didn't need it but they sound better with boxes.
