I love it when the cables are the right length!

The Dell Optiplex Micro attaches to a gas adjustable monitor arm with a special VESA compatible mount. This is the ideal length for this purpose.

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Nothing here

4K60 issues: HDMI cable

It took me a while to narrow things down, but in the end I realized that this unique cable was why the connection between my monitor and my computer was sometimes dropping . It seemed to work fine at 1080p, but stopped maintaining a stable connection after I increased the resolution and frame rate to 4K60.

Pros
  • Supports DPCP (DisplayPort Content Protection) and HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) | Backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.1/1.1a
Cons
  • Not everything fits

These cables are BAD

Monoprice cables are usually very good, but not this one. I had to go back to my client's office to replace 3 of these cables which were causing the monitors to lose video a couple of times an hour. I was able to verify if it was the cable because as soon as I moved the monitor the image started to break up and then disappeared. The wobbling of the plugs caused the problem. After I connected the original Dell DP cables, the problem went away.

Pros
  • Snap-on DisplayPort connectors keep the cable securely connected
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
