Description of 10-Foot Black 16AWG Male to Male Cable Cord - Monoprice Premier Series (TRS) with Gold Plated Connectors

This cable features TRS/Stereo plugs on each end. It uses 16 AWG stranded, pure copper conductors and employs copper braid shielding with 97.5% coverage. The plugs are gold plated to provide smooth, corrosion-free connections as well as maximum electrical conductivity. With two separate conductors and the common shield ground, this cable can be used as an unbalanced stereo patch cable or as a balanced mono patch cable. Quality at a Fair Price: Monoprice's rugged design and rigid quality control standards deliver high quality products at fair prices.

Great replacement cable!

So get this. I bought this Behringer HA-400 4-channel compact stereo headphone amp and 4x stereo headphone accessory kit, only to find that the audio cable that came with it is MONO. *groan* Since I don't like hearing myself (or my fellow podcasters) in ONE pair of headphones, I bought this cable to solve the problem. I was the perfect solution and I was satisfied. Now we can all be deaf in both ears instead of just one. Watch our podcast with this special cable by tuning in to "A Night Out…

Brass Nails: Stereo Cable

This is a TRS TRS jack. The connectors use gold, which is always nice. The cable itself is very thick, much thicker than a standard cable; I personally like it, but some might not like the difference. The connectors themselves are nice to the touch and the spring clips at each end are always good. My only complaint is that the Monoprice clogs the solder joints with some sort of plastic. I'd rather leave it open in case it ever needs servicing. However, if you really like these cables, Monoprice

Sturdy and purdy. - Cables and Connections

Every cable I've bought from Monoprice has been strong and durable and I don't expect this cable to be any different. Robust construction and non-slip bushings with good kink protection at the transition from the bushings to the skin. And while it's no big deal, the black and gold colors look clean and professional. Damn. Who am I kidding? Appearance matters. It's Rock'n'Roll! I bought this cable to run from the aux send on my mixer to my subwoofer, which often runs across the stage, so I…

9 years later they have Rockstar cables from my house

I recently bought some high end equipment that is making my old sound system sound crappy. I used them to go from a sound card output to a power amp. I've tried a regular 6 foot guitar cable and one of these with an A to B comparison and these 3 foot Monoprice cables are at least 30dB quieter. I work with a lot of IT related devices that are pretty noisy in terms of EMF. I'm sure many cables do what I've described thanks to the shielding, but 9 years later they don't crackle when I bend them…

  • Not as thick as others

I have been in the audio and video field for 30 years. I recently bought new Bose L1 Model II speakers and needed connection cables. I bought 8 cables, different lengths and ends. After 6 months I noticed a speaker getting quieter and then dying. I checked the wires and 3 out of 8 wires have a short between the RING and BUSHING wires. When I received them new, they passed the test normally. If you have Monoprice cables and cords, I recommend testing them with a meter for shorts between…
