Carbon fiber woofers are lighter and stiffer than conventional materials used in speaker manufacturing. Bad shipping and quality control

I had a factory damaged crossover and it sounded bad. I bought a pair. I received one after 3 weeks and the other after 2 months.

Looks good but is a woofer

Looks ok, works ok, no bass at all! Emphasize the mid and high range, but notice more. The speaker is not at all for audiophiles. Now I'm upgrading to better quality because it's not working for me.

Low cost meets low performance

They work for sound reproduction. The sound that comes out of them isn't overly rich and detailed, which is a problem with most in-wall speakers. If I were to do it again, I would just get a quality soundbar.

To be honest they sound great very crisp and clear with good bass

At first I was surprised to learn how heavy they are. Really high quality stuff. I didn't have time to install them, but I hooked them up to a 100 watt Alpine F4 amp in the car. To be honest they sound great, very crisp and clear with good bass.

Poor quality, lack of low frequencies, sharp high frequencies.

Very sharp sound from the tweeter, shrill and all sorts of HF and MF. Deep frequencies are sorely lacking. Driver and nice, but ultimately nothing special. Reviews say it has great low frequencies that might compare to a cell phone speaker. My clamp broke the first time I tightened it on the test baffle. I'm glad I decided to test this before cutting the wall. Back to Amazon!

Tweeters will break on their own due to the weak adhesive used in their manufacture and strong magnets.

The magnets in the ribbon tweeter are glued in with very weak glue. The adhesive strength of this adhesive is easily overcome by the attraction that powerful neodymium magnets exert on each other. Any shock during shipping will cause the tweeters to break by themselves. It would be one thing for Monoprice to support the product and respond to inquiries, but so far I've had no response in the week I've had speakers. Please don't buy this. This product is legally defective.

Almost unbeatable price

I installed 3 of these Monoprice Alpha built-in speakers as LCR speakers in my home cinema. The dimensions of the room and the position of the doors required installation in the wall. I mounted them on the wall behind an acoustically transparent projection screen. Given the cost of these speakers, I couldn't believe how good they sounded in my room. No, they don't surpass good floorstanders and the like or premium in-wall speakers offered elsewhere, but they surprise me with what they are. They
