📷 Nissan 370Z 350Z CCD Rearview Camera: Waterproof & Night Vision by Moonet Review

This is an updated review. I first bought this product over a year ago. The first worked fine for a week then stopped working. Now this is my second camera, it works right out of the bag. Fingers crossed the first one was from a bad batch. I really want this to work.

Really good camera. Almost the equivalent of the factory camera in my "expensive" sedan. A definite improvement over a similarly priced camera I installed just two years ago. Phenomenal image improvement in low light. Since I had already gone through the tricky part of the cabling installation in the previous installation, it was 10 minutes "plug and play". So it was easy for me to upgrade in a timely and cost-effective manner.

. because of crappy drivers. Absolutely superb camera for the price and very easy to install. The only complaint I have is that there are policies that you can't get rid of. Also, these recommendations do not accurately reflect the vehicle's distance from other objects. That said, the camera is under $15 so it's really hard to justify giving it less than 5 stars at this point.

I was impressed with the packaging and the daylight image quality. The night image is a bit grainy. I only connected it to the reverse lights because the unit's power cord seemed to overheat quickly if left on all the time. It seems that Moonet sells two different cameras, a Sony CCD version and a CMOS block. The guidelines are very helpful. I recommend anyone with a 350z or 370z to get this camera. I bought an Audivox camera from Best Buy which was $80 and was no better than a $15 Moonet…

This is the third camera I have installed on my 350Z. I bought my first camera off eBay, not sure what brand it was, but this unit lasted about three months. I replaced it with one of these Moonet cameras in March 2015 and lived with it for 2 1/2 years before it just showed green colors for a month or two and then finally just stopped. The two Moonet cameras I bought from Revain don't say "CCD" like the product image.

The local radio shop charged me $280 to install a backup camera as part of a new head unit installation (total parts and labor was $1280. This is perfect for your Nissan 350 zi, has a convertible and replaces the right hand side panel light, the picture quality is very clear, I'm running it in my aftermarket Pioneer head unit. I recently installed it in my G35 sedan. I had a pretty good understanding that the license plate lights were the same on the G35 and 350z so I wasn't overly concerned, for anyone looking for something to match their 2003-2006 Infiniti G35 rest assured it will fit for your car.
