Strong plug! - Terminals

Assembled, painted, should be enough as needed. If you need a plug that big, don't use threaded plugs, use something with a threaded mount like that. Much safer and more weather and water resistant.

Pros
  • S-type knock out seals with screw and bolt - Knock out set screw/bolt knock outs fit into open box knock outs to protect bare wires.
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Did the job as intended

I bought this to cover a hole in an electrical panel. This worked fine, but I didn't realize I needed access to both sides. Luckily I didn't finish the drywall repair and was able to unscrew some of it. The knockout hole fitted the 1 5/8 hole perfectly and I was concerned that I would have to make the knockout hole larger. It looked like a spooky setup, all I could see was the support bar had fallen into the wall. In hindsight, I probably could have threaded through the screw hole to lessen the

Pros
  • Used in normal, airtight or dust-tight conditions
Cons
  • Disappears

A bad choice if you need accurate measurements.

I ordered a 4" knockout seal. On arrival it proved suitable for caulking a 4" hole and was even stamped 4". Due to my application I had to paint the seal prior to installation so there are no returns for me. I removed the old 4" plastic knockout gasket (also marked 4") and attempted to fit a Morris gasket. hmm? Something is not right! It won't fit in a 4" hole because the damn thing is actually 4 1/2" wide. I do not recommend this product unless you are looking for sharpness.

Pros
  • Pre-assembled screw and support rod slides over open knockouts without removing boxes or covers
Cons
  • New competitors available
