This set was a complete letdown. The machining on the collets was sloppy and uneven, making it difficult to secure pieces. However, the variety of sizes included is a decent pro for those on a budget. Overall, I would not recommend this product to anyone in the Industrial and Scientific field.

Collets are to specification and were delivered on time. The tie rod threads are fine and I keep them in the plastic cases they came in. I am very satisfied with the quality and workmanship. I have a combination lathe/mill and the lathe spindle, mill head spindle and tailstock are all MT#3 so these collets are very useful for either stock stock on a lathe or end mills, drills or cutters in a mill or drills and tools in it to hold the tailstock.

I found the quality of this item to be very poor. Having been a locksmith for over 40 years I can say I have the right to comment on this matter and most locksmiths will understand what I am talking about. ". Installed a .250" collet and found that it protruded by up to .005", which was unacceptable.
