Excellent cable lube for tool kits

Pros: I have used other cable lubes but this has always resulted in 90% lube loss and a major mess. It's a pressure system and it works wonders. I use 10x less lube, and it's all in one go without pumping or cable manipulation.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Works great!

Until recently I didn't own an off-road bike or tools for it. I had a sticky choke so I went with this one. This is a little trick that takes advantage of collet principles. It took about 5 seconds to figure out how to use the tool and the only mess I had when I finished lubricating my cables was the excess that came out the other end. My cable lube has never leaked. My only concern is that if I lose the grommet I will get under the hose. I would like to receive additional

It works! Like, like, something like. in tool kits

product works exactly as described; once you decipher the poorly illustrated directions to 3b. If you plan to buy and use this motorcycle clutch cable product, it will work perfectly. However, the directions shown are not very clear. The grommet/grommet must be placed over the black plastic tube of the clutch cable, not over the bundled clutch cable. Once properly installed, it works flawlessly and within seconds. 60 seconds preparation for 30 seconds lubrication. Cleaning takes longer. Theโ€ฆ

Does the job pretty well

Any cord greaser can probably make a mess. The device works decently, there are flaws in the design. It did NOT work with about half of the cables I tried it on. The main problem was that there wasn't enough space inside the device for some types of cables/connectors. For example my Banshee: It worked fine for the clutch and emergency brake cables but not the throttle cable. The plunger cannot be pulled out of the device body without pliers. A tight fit is good, but I don't think it should beโ€ฆ

Easy, efficient fluid handling and maintenance

I used Motion Pro cable lube to service a 2000 Kawasaki ZR-7S throttle cable. My throttle cables didn't spring back when twisting and releasing the throttle. I was going to buy new cables (about $60-70 new) to solve my problem, but for less than $30 I bought this cable lube and a can of cable lube. It took less than an hour to remove my cables, lube both cables and reattach the cockpit cables to my bike. Once installed, the throttle worked exactly as I expected. This product arrived a dayโ€ฆ

Mess Enough!: Fluids and Maintenance

I've been using one of the 'others' cable lubes for years. As usual, I grabbed a roll of paper towels, rubber gloves, goggles, and oil powder, expecting a normal fight. I didn't need any of this. No drip, no leak, no mess. And I used about a tenth of the lube spray I had to use with another type of lube (when I tried to spray it by moving the cable up and down and hopefully finally saw some oil come out the other end) . this on. I pressed the button on the aerosol can and almost immediately oil

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • No Auto

Great time saver, works like a charm!

This cord lubricant worked like clockwork. I have an old 1985 Honda Elite CH250 that had a squeaky speedometer cable and had a lot of plastic on it which made the cable as a whole not as easy to remove and lube as it is on a motorcycle. The guide was great with clear steps. Step by step photos how to mount it on the cable. The hardest part was getting to the top end of the speedometer cable (see picture), but once I got there and tightened it up, I simply unhooked the bottom end of the cableโ€ฆ

This one really works

I've had other traditional cable lubes before. All leaked heavily and often failed to lubricate the cable. The lube bag and rubber band method worked better. This leaks a small allowable amount and lubricates the cable from end to end! There are some limitations. You will need an end of the cable that is shaped to fit and seal in the oil can. My bike's throttle cable only connects to the grease at the end of the carburetor. You may need to separate both ends of the cable to pull the end of theโ€ฆ
