Motorcraft SW2397 Ignition Switch Cylinder Review

My ignition on my battered work truck was sloppy (in fact it started without a key). This made the ignition work like a new car.

Like most Genuine Motorcraft parts, fits like a champ. It took less than fifteen minutes to install and now my truck no longer randomly switches to assisted mode.

I have modified many of these over the years to service a fleet of Fords. It was a good product. Great fit and easy assembly as usual. Simply remove three or four screws in the steering wheel cover, press the button on the underside of the toggle switch to release the old switch, and you're good to go. Remember that the key for removal and installation must be in the lock cylinder. Excellent quality product
