So good and so easy!

Mountain House Biscuits and Gravy is perfect for those mornings when you don't feel like making it from scratch, especially when you're camping. I've been eating this for several years now and have never been disappointed by the taste, the quality of the food and of course the ease of cleaning! Just throw away the packaging. I use this when we go camping and you have the best breakfast in 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this to all Mountain House products!

  • FAST COOKING. Simply add hot water to the pouch and have a no-wash meal in less than 10 minutes. The pouches are shorter, wider, and more bowl-shaped to make eating easier. Eat straight from the bag and skip the dishes!

Really convenient in the camping kitchen

This is definitely one of the best Mountain House recipes. The traditional recipe is a thick white sauce with chunks of sausage mixed with large freshly baked biscuits. Due to the nature of the animal (food should only be cooked with boiling water), Mountain House includes the biscuits in the sauce mix, making the food very lumpy. But appearances are deceptive, because this recipe tastes so good. Advice of the day. Bulk ready meals have to appeal to as many customers as possible and thereforeโ€ฆ

Mountain House Biscuits & Gravy - They changed the recipe and that's not good news.

I replenished my stash of cookies and gravy and found that they had changed the packaging and were smaller, 4.4 ounces lighter than their previous net weight of 4.94 ounces. We pay for smaller items. Another horror. I thought I'd break one at home today and they taste like garbage. The texture of the cookies is really chewy as opposed to the crumbly/crunchy style in older packages. The whole experience was also very, very bland. I looked at the ingredient lists on both and they are indeedโ€ฆ
