My kids got this for Christmas and play with it once or twice a week. The sound box hasn't worked for two days. I changed the batteries and it worked for 10 seconds, but then it was silent again. They don't handle it roughly at all, so it's a shame the sound box is broken. Bought during Prime Week so the return period has already passed.

Speech unit uses batteries. With new batteries you can play less than 10 minutes before they run out again. I've changed the batteries in this potato at least 6 times because it's to help my grandchildren and their disabled great-grandmother with dexterity after suffering a stroke. DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you have the money to spend endlessly on batteries.

We really enjoyed playing this crazy little potato. My only complaint was that one of the phrases he used, "What a potato!" I found it a bit crude and close to more vulgar language in my opinion. It also makes noises similar to "wind is blowing". Everything was exactly as described. Very filled and soft. I love that it has different utterances as it plays and seems to register when it's hit and caught so kids don't have to be in a hurry to toss it to the next person while playing. This makes it safer when playing with younger children who may not be as good at throwing or catching.
