Great game for SLPs

I am a speech pathologist working with students in preschool - 6th grade.I don't play this game according to the instructions; instead, I modify it depending on the group of students I have. For my older or higher functioning students, I have them pick a recipe card to copy, as well as a plate and spatula. Then we say "ready, set, go" and it's a race to see who creates their recipe first. This is typically used as a quick reward once they're done with their speech work, and one round lasts less

Pros
  • My class enjoyed this so much! Love it!
Cons
  • The Product satisfied the criteria.

Little boring and not enough to keep interested

It's a great concept but it's too simplistic past 3/4 years old. All you do is run to find a pancake in a too small box and stack them according to the picture. That's it . It lost its fun factor have the 2nd race and deemed boring . Maybe it would be better in a group but the box really makes that impossible

Pros
  • Boosts creativity and imagination through pretend play
Cons
  • The game's theme may be too childish for older players

Best game ever! for my opinion

Perfect gift for my 4 year old nieces and nephews! Extremely easy to play but still lots of fun! They relayed each other, then started pulling the adults to challenge them! Gre

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • The game is too expensive for what it offers

Incorrect items in packaging, no customer support

I bought this game to be used with my elementary school students. They love the game but the number of pancakes included were incorrect. It is hard to use the game when only one banana pancake was given and two are needed in order to play the game correctly. I made several attempts to contact Educational Insights and got no response. Perhaps the company went out of business?

Pros
  • My 4 year old absolutely loves this game! We finish the round by yelling "eat my pancakes"
Cons
  • The game lacks variety and can quickly become repetitive

Fun game for toddlers

I purchased this game for my 3 year old son as one of his first board games. He picked up on it pretty fast and loves to race to stack the pancakes. Would also make a great gift.

Pros
  • Encourages kids to think critically and make decisions
Cons
  • The game's components may be too easily damaged or lost

Fun for all ages: my feedback

We got the paper version of this game from Chick-fil-a years ago. My 4 yr old was super sad that the paper pancakes wouldn't stand up on their tabs anymore. If I had known this "real" version was around I would have ordered it ages ago. The 4, 7, and 10 yr old all love it. They are fun for the play kitchen as well. Super sturdy and lots of fun.

Pros
  • Stimulates the brain and encourages learning
Cons
  • The game's objectives may be too simplistic or uninteresting

Good quality, cute, fun, and challenging!

This is a really cute and high quality game. The pancakes are well made to stack on top of each other. It’s challenging but not a frustrating. I bought this as a gift for my 3 year old’s birthday and it’s the first toy she runs for in the morning. Total treat for this household.

Pros
  • Can be adjusted to increase or decrease difficulty level
Cons
  • The game's theme may not be appropriate for all ages

Disappointing - my new review

I was excited to get this for my 4 yr old based on the reviews. It is a cute idea, but I had 2 problems with the game. First, the pancakes are puffy, and that makes them almost impossible to stack 5 high, as the game requires. I mean, even an adult trying very carefully to stack the fifth pancake on the pile *by hand* can't do it. I don't know if I got a defective set, or if the fact that I live at slight altitude (Denver area) made them puff up more. But it is a problem. Second, after playing…

Pros
  • I use this game with my students. Great for teaching sequencing.
Cons
  • The game requires too much setup time

Game, no. Play, yes.

We’ve played this as a game once and it was okay. My daughter loves it and would rather pretend she’s working in a breakfast diner. Oh well!

Pros
  • Promotes healthy competition
Cons
  • The game's components may not fit together well, causing frustration

A fun game for my toddler!

MY 2.5 year old daughter like to play this game. Good for fine motor skill. she can’t pile with the spatula yet so she use her hand. But she try as much as she can

Pros
  • EI-3025
Cons
  • The game may be too difficult for younger children

Quality better than expected- pancake color is kind of gross

Better quality than expected! The color of the pancakes aren’t realistic- and in my opinion kind of gross instead of that classic pancake tan …. Totally love the feel of them tho. Everything included in the box & the box itself is nice material. I’d only change the color of the pancakes to be more realistic. Overall super cute ! Glad I bought them!

Pros
  • Builds teamwork and cooperation skills
Cons
  • The game's theme may not be appealing to all players

Fun game for toddlers

We got this for a just-turned-3 year old. They didn't quite understand the concept of the rules, but that didn't matter. They found it fun to just carry the pancakes back and forth from the box to the "plate" on their spatula. So this will be a good gift for 3+, but more likely fully appreciated by 4+ when they can understand the "game" part of it. So far pretty pleased overall, especially for the price.

Pros
  • Enhances fine motor skills through stacking pancakes
Cons
  • The game's name is not very creative or memorable

Got the whole family moving and giggling

My almost 4 year old daughter got this game for Christmas and the whole family loves it! To make it a true relay, my husband and I play with them (4 and 6 year olds) and we were all out of breath and giggling together by the end of several rounds.I love that besides getting the kids moving it encourages balancing and sequencing skills along with turn taking and team work! So glad we picked this as her game for Christmas! Would highly recommend it!

Pros
  • Enhances memory retention through remembering the sequence of moves
Cons
  • The game's theme may be too simple or uninteresting

Very small in my review

Very small pancake ms from the picture. In order for the kids to compete in teams you have to buy two individual games smh😬

Pros
  • Builds confidence and self-esteem through successful play
Cons
  • The game's theme may be too stereotypical or cliche

One of our favorites!

We love this game! Our 6 year-old and 3 year-old enjoy playing it as it's meant to be played, but they also enjoy using the pancakes and spatulas to play restaurant. The game is fun and easy for little ones to understand. This is one of our favorites and our kiddos ask to play it all the time.If you like my review, or found it helpful, please click the " Helpful " button below.

Pros
  • Teaches patience and self-control through taking turns
Cons
  • The game's rules are overly complex and hard to remember

They don't even know they are learning!

The game is very good quality for the money! My 3 year old doesn't even realize that he is learning and enjoys it. That's my review.

Pros
  • Develops social skills through peer interaction
Cons
  • The game may not be challenging enough for advanced players

Fun for 6 yr old in my review

Bought this to play on thanksgiving with my niece. I thought she might be too old for this, but she had a lot of fun racing the adults to make her pancake stack.

Pros
  • My kids love it. Good with an obstacle course too.
Cons
  • The board easily bends and warps, making the game difficult to play

We got this game for Easter for my 2 year old (and his older brothers) to play, and it has been great. It's got durable plastic pancake pieces that are fun for pretend play, the game works great as a fine motor skill trainer as you try to load up pancakes on the spatula without touching them and move them across the table (or across the room, if you're playing with older kids and what to up the challenge). You can also making it a memory game by giving each player a set time to look at the card

Pros
  • Can be played indoors or outdoors
Cons
  • The game's mechanics are too simplistic and repetitive
