MSD 8874 Wiring Harness Review

As an Automotive enthusiast and car mechanic, I found this harness to be the worst I've ever attempted to use. The quality of the components is extremely poor and the installation was definitely not the easiest or simplest by any means. As a result of using this product, I found that my vehicle no longer worked as it did before. On the positive side, the price was relatively cheap. However, the low cost was definitely not worth the hassle and extra work involved in using this product.

Used on a 1989 F350 XLT Lariat with a 460. With the plethora of taps, connectors etc that came with the MDS Ignition Controller it could definitely have worked but this part saved at least an hour of extra work. I would recommend this to anyone who has the same configuration as me.

After installing the Vortech blower I installed the MSD-BTM. At first I wanted to do it without a seat belt but it looked messy and a bit confusing. Definitely worth the money in terms of usability and clean look under the hood. Installation is very simple, literally plug and play. While it may seem a bit pricey for a "cable bundle," having pre-packaged connector ends is worth it. The product itself is quite simple and well made with good instructions.
