I have very fine, shoulder-length hair. Usually, big clips like this slip out of my hair, but they pull tight enough to stay in; although I don't have a lot of hair to keep it up. I would recommend it precisely for this reason. I rarely use them (just occasionally around the house) so I can't comment on durability.

ordered at the end of July. When they got here, one was already broken. Because they are so cute I contacted the seller and asked for a replacement. The seller was very accommodating and promptly obliged. A replacement arrived in the next few days. Less than a month has passed (by three days), and three out of five have already clicked in the exact same place as the first. DO NOT buy this product. It's very cute, but not designed for long-term use and not intended for everyday use.

This is a great purchase, love all the colors and the size is just right for my hair. (I don't have thick hair, but if you do I wouldn't recommend holding all your hair.) They're strong, but the plastic is a little flimsy so it's easy to break if stepped on or crushed underneath. Pocket. But overall a great purchase!

You get what you pay for with these clips. My girlfriend has long hair (to her waist) but thin hair. These clamps did not open wide enough to catch all of her hair. It was only used as a half up half down hairpin. They also break very easily. If you're looking for something that will hold your hair up all day, then this isn't it.
