If you plug and unplug a lot, this type will do because it doesn't pull from the outlet. Remove the old cover, install the socket, put the screw back. I actually forgot it has a night light, it's yellow and not too bright but enough to see anything in that range.

We use it in the kitchen, it's the best place for a guest charger. We keep only 2 short cords for C and non-C phones and the platform on top easily holds the phones. This night light was really great. It's bright enough that we don't need another light for our old dog at night.
