I was looking for a makeup brush organizer that doesn't take up counter space and doesn't smear makeup all over the surface. That's great! The plastic tab protects the brush heads when rolling up the organizer, so no smudging! I use the zippered compartment to store my small kabuki powder brushes. When I travel, I will use this compartment to store a small amount of necessary cosmetics. The perfect size for a drawer or holdall!

This is an update of my previous good review. The button closure fell off after a week. The clasp is very cheap and for that reason I don't recommend the makeup brush organizer. Good quality fabric. Holds brushes securely and separates them well. Large cosmetic compartment. I travel a lot and it will be good for packing - everything fits and is compact. It's also good for everyday use.

It has large slots on the side of the brush holder, so I put smaller, thinner brushes in a zippered pocket. The material is not elastic. I keep. I had to wash my makeup off with a damp towel on the outside.

The material is smooth. The knob on which the rope spins is either awesome or breaks easily. It spins but feels cheap. So. The vortex looks awesome because it expands to accommodate the amount you put into it. But then again it looks like metal, feels like cheap plastic. The material seems to repel water easily.
