A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

Falcon's younger brother. Swordfish. Nicely named. In fact, it is in the budget niche, no miracles. This one also took under the operating system. It is planned to upgrade to the next Windows on time). Gave two with a penny. Bought in Amazon (with donated bonuses). Do not expect miracles, I am completely satisfied, set and forget.

Pros
  • Price / quality - 10/10. Over the hill disperse like hot cakes. There is no need to climb Ali in search of a radiator.
Cons
  • No.

Worked for about 10 months in a stationary computer. Once a month, about a BSOD took off on a disk error. It was treated by turning off and on the PC (a simple reboot - no, only by de-energizing). As a result, after 9.5 months of work, the partition first fell off (turned into RAW instead of NTFS), and after several days of "dancing with a tambourine" and trying to somehow revive it, it generally issued in the device manager "NVME controller cannot be activated due to a device hardware error."…

Pros
  • Started out of the box with no problems. Worked.
Cons
  • Speeds were lower than stated. Died.

Terribly slow random read speed

When accessing large libraries, the scanning speed is reduced to a minimum. My applications regularly hang when browsing large file databases. Unfortunately, as I bought it before my laptop actually arrived, it can no longer be returned. I'm sorry I couldn't. I will replace it with something else as soon as possible. My Sabrent Rocket Q plays an MP3 in less than a second. It takes 3-5 seconds for each file. That then goes back into the box and gathers dust as "Lesson Learned" never buy Adata…

Be careful when removing the heatsink. Otherwise great product!

This is a very affordable and quite fast NVME M.2 SSD to fill slots on any motherboard. The only thing I have to warn you about is that the heatsink comes pre-installed out of the box. The first time I tried to carefully remove the heatsink, I ended up carefully prying one of the 3D NAND chips off its pin. If you need to remove the heatsink to fit under the M.2 motherboard heatsink, I would use a razor blade or something similar, or allow the SSD to warm up during normal use before attempting…

Pay a few dollars more to save time

My computer has been unstable since I installed this NVMe. Force random reboot and freeze. Of course I checked this to make sure there weren't other issues. It is not. And whenever I played a game on this NVMe, I noticed that it would hiccup on startup and some bad FPS drops. I have a 5600x and a 3060ti so don't even say my computer can't handle them. I will use this game for example. I uninstalled the same game and reinstalled it on my primary WD NVMe drive, which I've been using since 2018…

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH BE WARE MOTHERBOARD

Visit your motherboard support page and check compatibility. This SSD is not listed anywhere as being compatible with ANY motherboard or OS. I've had nothing but constant errors and crashes for almost a year without ADATA's fault. NO issues with the SSD listed as compatible by my motherboard manufacturer. Why isn't it compatible? The integrated memory controller is complete nonsense. To keep the price down, they made the nvme SSD cache-free, so they can save on a storage controller that is…

Cheap but seems good value for money

I recently got a little used Lenovo 910q mini pc and decided to convert it into a media center pc. He didn't have a repair disk, but I have spares, so don't worry. I have multiple SATA M.2 drives, but I found that this mini pc only supports NVMe/PCIe M.2 drives in M.2 bay form factor. Since I'll only be using it as a jukebox or media center PC, I wanted to spend the bare minimum on an NVMe drive. I found that the price difference between 120/128GB and 240/250/256GB drives wasn't enough to…

Swordfish vs Falcon

I have the 2TB FALCON and SWORDFISH versions. Both have TLC flash, which is almost always better than QLC, so good there. Both have a decent 960TB endurance for a cheap drive, some say it's low but I'd rate it as 'good'. These are both DRAM-free SSDs, meaning less power for laptops, but also lower performance. IOPS are "good" for a consumer drive, they are similar to SSDs. Claimed sequential read speeds of 1800 MB/s and write speeds of 1200 MB/s seem to be sufficient for small sequential jobs…
