After 2 returns for the same problem I can't recommend this huge piece of junk. The HDMI port didn't work either and seems to be one of the first to stop working in all the recent reviews here.

I have a laptop that is 3 or 4 years old but due to an accident the ports on one side are not working properly. Especially HDMI and USB 3.0. It has a USB-C connector, so I decided to give it a try. In addition to replacing those two ports, it also replaced the USB 3.0 hub 3 to 1. It's more of a replacement and, with the exception of the mini SD and SD slots, just gives me back the usability I had lost. I have a USB-C tablet so I might try that to see if I can access the files there too.

Amazing USBC port extender with multiple extra ports, storage, etc. and all)! The physical, electronic, and firmware designs are a delight, and the full-featured PNPlay recognizes them without a hitch. I was thrilled when my high-resolution monitor was connected to my Chromebook via this "extension cable." Wow! Will definitely buy more when the need arises.

When I opened the box I was surprised how small it is, I can easily hide it. I use this hub on my desktop PC for extra easy-to-access USB 3.0 ports. Plug and Play worked without any problems. Anything I plug into these ports is recognized by the system. Powering USB devices is no problem either. SD card reading was an added bonus! I've found that I can use this with a Chrome Book as well. Fits perfectly with my M1 Mac Mini and works great with it! I have keyboard, mouse and monitor and everything works great! The Mac Mini just doesn't have enough ports for anything else when it has both a wired keyboard and mouse.
