This is the ideal adapter, especially if you want to connect two displays and only use one USB-c socket. This is perfect for a display - I'm cheap and thinking ahead when adding another. I have an old monitor connected to a Chromebook via DVI. Absolutely no problem. I highly recommend.

This device is quite affordable and perfectly suited to my needs ie to provide connectivity to external monitors and flexibility in connection types. While VGA and DVI aren't common in new monitors these days, in the short time I've had it I've already encountered situations where I needed both. If I were really picky, I'd like a smaller/thinner device and possibly light metal, but no more. Otherwise I am very satisfied with this adapter.
