The color doesn't even come close to the grayscale shown in the photos. It looks more like burnt brown ash wood. The material itself is unpainted stained wood. Also, one of the pre-drilled holes is missing a metal bolt, making it impossible to attach the bolt to the corresponding hole. This is not the quality I expected for the money I paid.

Excellent towel rail. The towel rail for our shower was far from the shower entrance. Every time we showered we had to take a towel and put it on the floor next to the shower so we could use it without wetting the floor by going to the towel rack on the wall. Installation delayed due to moving. But this product is bad. While it may look nice when assembled, it is very thin. The base was difficult to assemble as it is weak wood along with kindling and small nails. I agree with some of the comments regarding the used stain as it rubs off a bit - just tried wiping it off with a white rag and it's still rubbing off after 4 months. I put a few strips of shelf mat on each of the rungs to make sure the blood didn't get on my light-colored items, and wasn't worried about that. As a towel holder there is nothing wrong with it. However there are two things I would like to know before buying - 1) it is shorter than it looks - the measurements are a bit misleading here as the tallest of the 3 towel rails is barely high enough to prevent a standard bath towel touches the ground. The 2 shorter racks are definitely touching the towels. 2) The rack is not wide enough to accommodate non-overlapping standard towels. All in all, she does her job. But for the price I would have…
