    Oriental Wand vs Western Wand

    I love this oil bowl. The color is strong and well made. I've seen the East Coast vs. West Coast oil question. Bought a pack of each to compare. East Coast oil is the typical long thin stick most people are familiar with. The West Coast Stick is shorter and thicker, but also 1/2 cup. I am attaching photos of both. The east stick works fine. The western joystick works too, but you have to be careful to center it or the tip of the stick will touch the inside of the lid, which can cause a mess. In

    Please note that buttersticks vary in size depending on the region in your country. I'm from the Pacific Northwest where our butter is thick and chunky unlike you New Englanders who have long, thin butter. Our thick butter is perfect for this dish.
