I couldn't decide on my 1.5 year old grandson's fat feet. He's 5 inches tall (but he usually has trouble with being bulky). I bought the size 5-1/2-6" from this brand because the price was good and the leg opening looked a little wider than other brands (again reminiscent of his kankles). He loves them! Couldn't wait to see them putting them on and then got out within 5 minutes. My daughter went online immediately and bought the 5" which barely fit but stayed (I'll let her check them).

I bought these shoes for a week long trip to the beach for my almost 2 year old to wear in the sand/sea. They worked well and dried pretty quickly between uses! She liked wearing them, so they must have been comfortable enough. I ordered a size up based on some reviews but when the shoes arrived, The bag said the size I ordered but the shoes themselves were marked a size too small - luckily they still worked fine. What'

I really liked these water shoes just because I have 3 stars they sent us the wrong size. They are so soft and fit like a glove. My twins are very comfortable in them and even wear them at home! We wore them every day to play outside in the water. I noticed they were a bit tight and thought I was running small until I checked my order info on Amazon. I ordered 8-8.5, they sent me 7.5-8 and I didn't even notice that we got the wrong size. So make sure they send the correct sizes.
