Pretty good sound for the money

I have a bunch of amps: Quad Tube, Music Fidelity Class A, SMSL Class D, that's NAD. Of course I like tubes best, but they get hot, I don't have air conditioning, my rooms aren't very big, so I don't like using them that much in the summer. The same goes for Music Fidelity. SMSL are good in terms of warming. However, the sound does get a bit tiring after a while (I prefer the SA36 over the SA50 but have seen opposing opinions). So I wanted Class D but with better sound than the $60 SMSL. Does…

Good enough for an audiophile!

If you really care about sound, you'll love the NAD D3020. I'm a music lover. I sold all my gear because I had to move from one country to another, but I used to have a stereo that cost about $20,000. I've had solid state amps, solid state amps, DHT, triodes, etc. I've had horn speakers, open baffle speakers, etc. I know my sound. 1.2K but he died a week ago. NAD 3020 legacy lives on

The NAD 3020 v2 Hybrid Digital is a great little amplifier and DAC. Like all NAD devices, it offers good value for money. With a fair 30 W RMS per channel and an oversized power supply, it easily drives bookshelf speakers to room-filling volumes.
