I dropped this bottle in my house with about 20 ounces of water and it cracked, leaking water all over the place. I thought Nalgene were more or less indestructible? It's not like I hit him with a truck or threw him off a cliff. I literally dropped it 18 inches down the hallway onto the laminate floor. What the hell? Was it a Chinese fake? It's hard to imagine a real Nalgene cracking like that.

Maybe it's just my love for hydraulic tanks but before buying them I bought them because they're not that bad. The bottles are huge and it would have been nice if they came with a more accessible cap, but I could barely take a sip without splashing myself. I don't miss these things! I admit that they fit the description and are not entirely useless. In my opinion, there are simply better alternatives.

I have some rude kids who broke some water bottles this year. You don't have to worry about these bottles breaking, caps breaking or even losing lives. A good wide opening makes it easy to flush the dishwasher. They're also big enough for hot summer days on the soccer field. I couldn't ask for a better water bottle for my athlete.

When I first saw Nalgene make a giant water bottle, I bought a double pack and immediately filled their empty depths with my hopes and dreams. When they arrived I found they both still had room for 48 ounces of water. You don't just "drink" from those water tanks - you get an ocean slap in the face. Use it to rehydrate, but be careful not to lean too aggressively and accidentally flood yourself with water. Don't even try to drive unless you want to wash the interior of the car at the same time.
