This product is unusable. It breaks every time I try to use it and some of the silk gets caught between my teeth and has to be pulled out with fingers if long enough or tweezers. It might work for those whose teeth are further apart than mine, but I found it utterly useless for flossing.

I was looking for a dental floss that would not break with my teeth. Commercial ones usually broke at least once because of flossing. At the same time, I pulled out a meter of thread, and sometimes half a meter more - to recover from 5-6 breaks. I like the metal container - I would break a glass container multiple times.

I have used other brands of silk floss but bought this because I liked that I could throw away the plastic packaging entirely. Such a wonderful idea! And if the thread didn't snap in the middle, it would be fine. But you know what's really annoying? Having to repeatedly dispense more floss to remove the floss from teeth after it breaks down the middle. This has not happened with other brands of silk thread.

This is normal. This is my first biodegradable filament and it's definitely a bit thicker than the plastic pharmacy filament I've used, but it's wax coated and works quite well, plus it comes in a resealable steel packaging. After dropping and breaking the glass floss container I replaced it with this one. I'm very glad I did. If you have one of these, you'll literally never have to buy a filament case again. Unless you want another one for your car, backpack, etc. You don't have to worry about it breaking like glass. It's a bit more expensive than glass but worth the durability.
