I bought this item because the reviews were great but unfortunately I'm not impressed. I followed the ratio stated on the label on the bottle. I sprayed my horse and after a few seconds (his feet were still wet from the spray) the flies landed right on him. I've even upped the more product to water ratio and all I do is wet my horse. I do not recommend this product to my friends.

This fly spray is one of the best non-toxic fly sprays we have found for our horses any day. It works better than others we've tried. I'm sure it doesn't work as well as the powerful poison sprays, but I don't want to inhale the fumes from these poison sprays or have my horse soak up all the chemicals in them. Two things that "annoy" me about horsefly spray in general: (1) I can use up a liter bottle pretty quickly and end the season I spent a small fortune on insecticides alone, with many empty containers, and (2) I hate the thought of spraying toxic chemicals on my horses, especially as I sometimes feel the spray blowing on me, or I can smell it ( when I feel its scent, I inhale it).
