Strong and durable

Cashel is always durable and double velcro keeps it in place. I like the soft padding on the top so it doesn't rub between your ears and it sits well on the bottom so it doesn't snag or rip on the stable door.

Pros
  • good item
Cons
  • contact seller

Quality is not as good as in the past

Cashel has changed size, the mask I usually buy for my horse was too small this year. They can usually count on their masks to last a full season and then several, but this new mask broke at the velcro after a few hours on the first day. The quality isn't what it used to be.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • So far so good

Comfort and fit! for pest control

My previous horse sized purchase was too big for the neck and I had to cut and re-sew it to use it. Ordered the next size down when it came time to replace and it's too small; Commissioned wounded warrior design in horse size and perfect fit. I've been buying fly masks for 40 years and without a doubt Cashel is the best fitting, softest I've seen.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Protection

great for masks

I ordered this for a 2 year old quarter horse. The one-year-old is too small, the horse too big. So I ordered an Arab. He's still a bit big. However, I fold the velcro and it holds up well. He hasn't left yet! I also like that the forelock has a hole to come out of. I wish I had ordered these right away!

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Definitely recommend

I have owned my two horses for 14 years. Every year they get new fly masks for their birthday. Easy to cut as there are stitching on the velcro. I wish it had ears but it's perfect for spring. bought because son is a wounded warrior in la2 (purple heart and silver star)

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Secret

Great fly mask! - Horses

This lumpy mask is almost perfect for my little Arabian (it fits perfectly so I'm not deducting a star). The strap is a little long but I just fold it up and it stays with me all day, even out in the pasture with other horses. It's comfortable and doesn't cause chafing. My horse and I love this mask and I'm also happy to support the wounded warrior project!

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • damaged

I buy 2 masks every summer, they are the best

I buy 2 cashel masks every summer, they are the best, very durable but designed with horse comfort in mind. My OTTB seems to find a way to take this off from time to time if it doesn't fit well enough, but I think it's pretty common. Lower quality masks tend to be worn over the eye socket, which horses like to rub. There is no cough. I especially liked being able to support Wounded Warriors with my annual purchase and admire the company for offering this option.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

all is well. And I LOVE these masks as they stay.

I have three horses and to be honest I'm at a loss. All three "lose" their masks at least twice a week. One is a 14-2 fat man with a doll's head. One is an average Q horse with 15 hands and a slightly narrow jughead. The latter has over 16 arms and although her head is very feminine, her head is large. I bought horse size for all 3 and find they fit well. Maybe the little horse has a bit of an extra strap that I have to fold to fit her cheek snugly, but other than that it's fine. And I LOVE…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Everything is fine
