The old ones have served more than ten years of intensive use. Nautica is worth the money. The cost per wear is lower than the discount store and they last longer in the trunk which is good for me. Oh they don't shrink much and I washed and tumble dried them hot.

This review is for the Nautica Men's Basic Fleece Crew Neck Sweatshirt. This sweatshirt was very thin, like a thermal shirt. The description says a classic fit but it was more of a modern fit. The 55% cotton and 45% polyester material feels comfortable, but not overly so. I would prefer it if it was closer to cotton. The shoulders were very square and the sweatshirt was an odd fit. There was so much extra material on the shoulders that they stood up, much like the shoulders of heavy shirts…

This is not a heavy sweatshirt at all and due to its material it does not wick sweat very well. Also, it's a bit lighter and probably good for 50 or 60 degrees, but no less. It looks good and is more for show than work. The comfort is OK, but not as soft as my Izod sweatshirts.

The thickness is good, but the inside of the ledge tailoring is too bulky and touches the hand, which is uncomfortable. The simulator where two areas meet is too thick. This was done by a machine, but it was too bulky and inconvenient. Otherwise it was of good thickness. There was a slight chemical smell when new, but the smell went away after two washes. This means they used some kind of chemical.
