Okay guys. There are two types of parchment. Translucent parchment that isn't and parchment finish that is. It simply means the paper is jagged. For example, paper like a watercolor pad is most likely parchment or felt and very thick. Carbon paper usually has a smooth surface. I bought this paper to make figures for English soldering. I like that it's heavier than regular paper but not as heavy as regular card stock so it sews up nicely. The usual thicker cardboard was too heavy and difficult for the needle. The price was really great. I would recommend this to others making their own English paper sewing templates.
