ah. its best lens accessory

on the camera page later. it is impressive. smooth and hard side of the lens. brutally. I hate photographing and mounting lenses. this makes me grit my teeth because the adapter mount cuts into the back of the Minolta lens. if you buy this Buy it for each of your MD lenses and leave it installed.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I will add

Great value adapter

Like many Neewer items it is of decent quality and gets the job done. Not too heavy as I prefer. Tight fit. This is a dummy adapter, no electronic connectors, no glass, for old manual lenses. There are many of them. There are no micro adjustments to focus at infinity, this is a simple adapter that works well.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Only available in black

NOT suitable for MC but suitable for M1

I have an old M1 Minolta lens and just bought an MC. It doesn't fit MC lenses so I'm very disappointed as it just arrived and I can't try it now. It does fit the old M1 though, so I might as well keep it for that, even if that lens isn't that great. They should not have MC in the name, only MD and M1 are suitable

  • Delivery was very fast

Lock not working properly

I bought this adapter to use with a Minolta MC lens. First, the product wasn't new, it was clearly previously opened. Then it turned out that the latch on the limit switch on the lens side did not work. The camera adapter side is good and the overall appearance is also good, so I give it 3 stars. It may be the only thing I have, but that's my experience. I returned it and bought an adapter from K&F Concepts for a few bucks more, works great.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Highly recommended for adapters and converters

It's surprisingly hard to find a truly working Minolta MD adapter for a Sony E-mount lens. But this one does, and it's the cheapest of the 3 brands I've tested. I tried the Fotasy brand, but the MD lens would not mount on the adapter. I tried the FotodioX brand, but the adapter didn't fit the camera. This Neewer adapter (labeled FOTGA) appears to be well made and there is no play between the lens and the adapter or between the adapter and the camera.

Pros
  • Industry best
Cons
  • Legacy model

Connects an old Minolta MC lens well to my Sony A7II

I am using this to attach a Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 55mm f/1.7 lens to my Sony A7II which works successfully. I had a small problem. where the lens screws onto the adapter, snaps into the locked position, but isn't actually fully locked. However, it took me 10 minutes to find and fix the problem - the metal cap that snaps into the groove was slightly misaligned so it didn't fit the groove all the way. I just used pliers to adjust it a bit and now it works fine.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • No performance

Fits a7ii metal bracket

Many of these adapters are difficult to fit onto the a7ii and a7s as these newer models have new metal brackets instead of the old plastic brackets of the a7 and a7r. I originally bought the Fotasy adapter and you couldn't turn it on to block. I even tried to archive this adapter in different ways. This Neewer adapter (FOTGA brand) that I received was repaired with no problems and was cheaper. I've read that others have had problems with this adapter on a7s, so maybe every brand has a few bad…

Pros
  • fun
Cons
  • boring packaging

but my target lens was normal after a touch of strength

This adapter works and works as it should! As with all of these inexpensive Chinese-made adapters, there are some manufacturing differences. My particular copy of the adapter was a little tight, but after a touch of force it fitted my target lens well. Luckily I plan to only use it with one lens (a random giant 500mm lens I bought cheap off eBay) so I don't have to worry about attaching/removing it often. It's a solid piece of metal and there aren't any optics to degrade image quality. Overall…

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • The list will be long.

So much fun at this price

At this price this adapter is a lot of fun. It is well milled and fits well. I wouldn't say it's too tight like other reviews, but I need a comfortable fit, which is what I want in my lens thread/mount. Be careful, first attach the adapter to the lens, then attach the new lens mount (with adapter) to the Nex. This seems to be the most important piece of advice. Otherwise works great, right price, nice matte black finish, looks like it will last indefinitely. It adds 27-28mm to the focal length…

  • Pretty impressive
