Great quality, best accessory

I can't believe how cheap this item was. I would spend twice as much if I had to and I would spend on similar products but this one is way better. I will order more.

Pros
  • looking forward to
Cons
  • reliability

Used on my Smooth Q

I used it to make my own two handed grip for the Gimbal Smooth Q I like the fact that most of the elements can be moved and repositioned around them set. I also like the fact that I can connect a directional microphone or a monitor. Haven't had a chance to use it with my DSLRs yet, but I'm sure it will work fine with a smaller one.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Love this camera cage

I bought this on a whim as there were few or no reviews on it. It works with my Nikon D5200 camera and also with my Sony camcorder. I have several rigs including a shoulder rig but this rig is great because it's lightweight and easy to move around. The handles are comfortable and allow for long use.

Better quality and cheaper than DIY!

At first I tried to make a do-it-yourself steering wheel setup project with mixed results, but between materials and tools I spent over $50 putting it together and it was no comparison to this less expensive setup for the camera. I'm very happy with this rig - I use mine with a Canon M5 plus 35mm 1.4 lens and buy a separate hand to hold the mic and video monitor. This is a great beginner/cage setup for those who want it but aren't a professional videographer.

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Annoying

It's a very capable product and well built although the camera screw gear could be of a little better quality. But that's not enough to detract from my overall opinion. I added some cold boots and it was still more cost effective than other good quality brands. This allows me to mount peripherals without stressing the ports on the camera. Everything connects to it, even the cables coming from the camera are attached to it with Velcro, which reduces the stress on the camera when moving it. This…

Pros
  • Finally bought it

Great design flexibility makes this camera cage perfect for my needs

I really like this camera cage. This gives me plenty of room to mount microphones, lights and a monitor. The opening is large enough that I can comfortably place multiple devices on it at the same time, and the handles on the sides are ergonomically designed to reduce my hand fatigue while shooting. I also like that there are several threaded holes on the underside. This allowed me to add a cheap metal plate as a support to steady my rig when laying it down. For the price, it's a very sensible…

Pros
  • Portable and lightweight
Cons
  • Disappearing

I use it regularly in my photography job.

I had my doubts about this setup but am glad I decided to purchase it. I mount this cage on a tripod with my mirrorless reflex camera inside. I use a large round spirit level taped to the top and a hot shoe adapter in the corner if I ever want to record video with a mic. It is strong and durable, well made and comfortable to use. When mounting an adjustable ball head between a tripod and a cage, you can get some flexibility by loosening the ball head just a little so it's a little tight. This…

  • The list will be long.

Neewer resupplied

I am very happy with this cage. The first thing you'll notice is that it's heavy and STRONG. I thought it would be flimsy for the money, but it's made of durable metal wherever it's needed. Your gear is secure and gives you flexibility as you can attach a tripod quick release plate to the underside, meaning you can mount it on the tripod of your choice and then quickly remove it for an unexpected shooting opportunity or for maintenance and etc. Given The multiple holes allow you to use adapters

Pros
  • Two rubberized handles allow for a comfortable grip and spread for stability
Cons
  • No insurance
