Strong, large, diffuses the light well.

Large umbrella with large fill light. Solid quality at a good price. I use it with my continuous setup. By placing the shade away from the light source, you get a very soft, diffused light that's great for floodlighting. If you want more punch, move the shade closer to the light and bring the light closer to the subject.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble/disassemble, compact and easy to carry
Cons
  • Problems

Great value for money, good light but fragile

I've had this umbrella for about a year and have used it on a lot of shoots. Today, in preparation for the shooting, there was an unpleasant surprise: when opening the umbrella, the ring, which you push up on the support rod up to the latch, simply "self-propelled” up the support rod so that it touches the fabric of the umbrella , where it meets the top of the pole. I used the umbrella in this position, although it looked pretty sad it was still mostly open and worked well as a fill light…

Pros
  • Industry standard, suitable for studio flashes and umbrella holders
Cons
  • Sad gear

It works, but it's not trustworthy.

. Just received. Not much, but enough to get noticed. This was not due to the delivery. The box was in perfect condition. The clip that holds the umbrella open is almost entirely out of order. I pushed it back into the stem with pliers to fully open the shade. Now he's working, but I don't trust him. Overall the umbrella does its job but as another reviewer wrote it looks like it will end up in the bin at some point in the near future. Hoping to get as much life out of it as possible, but since

Pros
  • This umbrella softens and diffuses the light for a very natural and pleasant effect on the subject. A NOTICE. Flash and stand are NOT included.

Ideal for newborn photography and traveling to clients

While searching for a lighting solution for newborn home photography I discovered a very simple, easy and utterly effective method of see through. with this umbrella. I already had the light stand and bulb from the softbox I bought (the softbox was too small and hence the light was harsh) so all I had to do was add that and the stand adapter. I chose the 60" translucent Neewer umbrella over the 72" because I'm traveling to my clients' homes with my newborn and needed something as compact as…
