A little rough but expect it to be smooth.

Absolutely God sent to achieve precise focus. My macro sharpness has improved a lot and I heartily recommend it considering the price. There was no way I could keep my hand steady, and the manual focus helps a lot. If you work with macros, this is indispensable.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Negative impression

Great value for tripods and monopods

Great value for money. One of the tracks disconnected (too bulky and creates unnecessary instability for me) and only uses forward/backward movement. Lubricated the rail and guide with jack grease and achieved a smoother ride. The device is just about acceptable for a full-frame camera and a 100mm macro lens with extension rings and/or a Canon D500 macro lens. Decent value for the money AND a must for macro focusing with minimal depth of field and close-up focusing in manual mode.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Hard to say

Affordable macro splint

I have had this splint for a few years now and it serves its purpose perfectly. I use it for 1:1 macro photography mounted on a Manfrotto 410 gear head and the combination of the two products gives great accuracy and focus stability. I particularly like that it is adjustable both front and back and side to side. Considering the price, this is a well-made product, but it's certainly a bit cheap. The biggest complaint would be that the camera's mounting screw is difficult to tighten, as the grip…

Very good product

Very well done. I wish they would provide some instructions, but it's so simple that I think they decided it wasn't necessary. (If there were, I'd give them five stars.) I use it on my tripod for minor macro adjustments and on my copy stand. The two tables can be used separately so I keep them in my macro/copier storage box. Well done and working. Definitely a good tool to expand your precision macro equipment or general copy/product setup.

Pros
  • The smooth movement of the rack and pinion ensures extremely fine focus adjustment.

Good value for money.

For such a price it's pretty good. It's not the most reliable device. The camera's locking knob looks like cheap plastic and is difficult to turn. Once that's done, it works fine. The gear has some play. Not enough to cause a problem, and there are two-bar locks to further mitigate that shortcoming. If it was more than $30 I would probably only give it 3 stars but it is a good value for most of your macro photography needs.

Pros
  • above to make sure it fits.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
