Great for the price.

Not heavy, but for the price you probably knew that :-) . This is a good little stand for portable studios or real estate photography etc. Lightweight, strong enough and a handy little bag to boot.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Overall highly recommended.

This lamp stand is 4 or 8 inches taller than what I used, but the price difference is only a few dollars, maybe a few dollars less. Thanks to its durable finish and nut, it also comes with a case which we highly recommend.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • High Price

Strong and durable in lighting

Great heights with these stands! Bought three of these for my studio. They offer a ton of options for me to hang my gear, which is crucial as they can be both high and low. The weight is really good and since everything is metal it provides good balance and support for my various lights and softboxes.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Good quality stand

Bought to replace an old flimsy tripod in our studio which was a total disaster. This one feels much more stable thanks to its solid construction and sturdy base, it's still well balanced when fully extended and we're not worried about landing a relatively heavy studio light or large softbox on it. I am very satisfied and will most likely order a second set.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I will add later

Great product great customer service

The quality of the product is amazing the first unit they sent me had a shaft problem but their one year warranty system is the best in the world they sent me a new one that is perfect. It's not exactly heavy, but it's amazingly stable. I have enough confidence to use it with my big studio lights and it never falls off. I've added this to my wish list for a future purchase!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Nice reflector stand but crappy for a flashlight

Sent back. Yes, it's under $20, but there's a point where something's made too cheaply when it doesn't work for what it's made for. The aluminum is too thin to support much weight without bending over. The knobs do not tighten enough to prevent the sections from sliding down under heavy weight. The thread at the top is smaller than standard. I bought it to hold a small LED light but (110V, no battery) but it couldn't support it. Pay a little more and buy a stand that actually holds the light…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
