The sandbags seemed like a good option to secure my lighting equipment, but based on our own experience, they didnt quite deliver. The electronics we were trying to secure ended up shifting due to the sandbags not holding up well under the weight. While the bags are heavy duty, they were also difficult to maneuver and transport. The one pro is that they come in a set of four but unfortunately that doesn't make up for the cons. .

I bought this set to use with a handheld studio flash (also from Neewer) for outdoor portraits. These are good quality thick sandbags with zipper lining. The only caveat is that they smell weird and the smell is hard to get rid of. From the moment I received them I have washed them in the wash, sprayed (soaked) them with Febrese, washed and dried them on a hanger but unfortunately the smell lingered.
