Great turntable accessory

This is a great little digital force gauge with pen. It is very easy to use and set up. I set up the turntable stylus very quickly. The hardest part for me was putting the batteries in. The room is quite small and cramped. The kit also includes an extra set of batteries. It seems very accurate.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • New competitors are here

The product itself appeared to work well, but I found the instructions to be a confusing English translation when explaining some of the device's features. Also, the battery flaps on the bottom of the device feel loose and flimsy. Otherwise, the device is a decent $20 value. Hope it lasts at least a few years.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Update availability

Excellent value for money and quality!

Very easy to use. Compact (small), portable, and accurate enough for consumer use. The manual has a fairly large font, better than most in size. My photo shows some common elements so you can see how big it is. You have to use your finger or thumbnail to open the lid, which can be better. But it closes tightly and protects the scales. Overall a great bang for your buck.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Excellent pickup dial, best suited for turntable pickups

Very accurate and easy to use turntable pickup dial. He does what he has to do. I have two identical Gemini TT models with identical carriages/pens that I thought I had built exactly the same. Find out the downforce from one of them was 1+ grams less than the other. And the higher was 1g lower than the 5g recommended for the cart/stylus combo I use. I've had them both tracked to 5.0g now and it's been great. My needle doesn't jump and I love the device.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not sure

Large-size stylus for electronic music, DJ and karaoke

Very accurate easy to use turntable needle scale. He does what he has to do. I have two identical Gemini TT models with identical carriages/pens that I thought I had built exactly the same. Pros
  • 0.01g/100g -- High precision and precise stylus sensor for fine adjustment of stylus force. Accurate needle pressure is important to ensure playback results and the life of your valuable recordings and cassettes.
Cons
  • Don't remember

Provides the information I need.

This device is part of my project. I had restored my 50 year old Garrard Lab 80 turntable and needed a more accurate way of measuring downforce. This scale seems to work. Between the click-gram adjustments on the arm and the counterweight, I can get very accurate dial numbers. The only problem I had was just opening the protective case on the scale. It fits so snugly that it feels like I'm about to break the scales if I try to remove the lid. So far no damage has occurred.

Pros
  • Hide units feature: Can hide rarely used units
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good performance but better reading on cheaper meter

I bought a cheaper pressure gauge from Neotek and it worked great! And I liked the ad. However, I lost the calibration weight. With this similar model, the calibration weight can be stored in the device. That means I will never lose weight again. This top-of-the-line model has a wider weight range, but the display isn't as user-friendly as the cheaper sensor. Since I use it for my player, range isn't an issue. Any Neotek unit is great, but I would buy again knowing the calibration weight is not

Pros
  • For MM/MC/MI and piezoelectric transducers, non-magnetic, does not stick to magnetic field, reliable readings.
Cons
  • Big and bulky
