Don't be fooled by the 4.5 stars, this shoe is not made for the water because: 1. It has a cardboard insole that will leave a wet paper mess when you use it in the water . My kid hated it and kept complaining about dirty wet feet.2. If water enters the shoes, it is not filtered, it is simply filled to the top (see my attached photos). These shoes were on sale and very cute, so we decided to try them. I really like that they have velcro on the side to make dressing that much easier! We ordered a size up due to mixed reviews on sizing. I'm glad we did as they seem to fit great, just a tad too big but not big enough to affect anything and she loves wearing them!
