This is great if you love headaches, stomach ulcers, and frustration!

Too many wn311t problems. Worked fine for about 2 months on my XP computer. Then the problems started. I spent about 3 days trying to solve the problem by checking the threads online. Updating firmware/drivers etc. All to no avail. My Netgear router is perfect. But this wireless receiver isn't worth all the headaches. Some of my tech friends who network for Fortune 500 companies even came up to me and scratched their heads. Unless you like stomach ulcers, headaches and cancer. . . I would stay…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Weak antenna for computers and accessories

My desktop is only 40 feet from my router. My computer shows in the hardware settings that the router puts out a full 5 bars of signal, but this adapter works BEST with only 2 bars at any one time. Sometimes I have 4 bars but only for a short time and never the full 5 like it should be. My last wireless adapter had an antenna part and it worked exponentially better than this piece of junk. The antenna is a joke and just for show.

Works great for computers and accessories

Easy to install. The fact that you can position it to get the best signal is a real plus. I had an antenna sticking out from the back of the computer and I didn't like that.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • No mold required

Great Computers and Accessories

I've found that Netgear simply makes the best of all networking gear, wired or wireless, and this PCI adapter is no exception. It was easy to set up. You can use the Netgear Network Assistant or just use the Windows Wireless Utility to set it up (after installing the driver, of course). It works perfectly. Slight loss of signal up the stairs but to be expected given the construction of the house.

Pros
  • Great Product
Cons
  • A little shabby

What can I say. This beautiful Wireless-N 802.11 Desktop Adapter works exactly as it should and as described. Installation only took 20 minutes, most of the time I spent making sure my crowded case wasn't too crowded. Just so you know, I'm running a Dell XPS 600 3.2GHz Intel Core2Duo with Windows XP Professional SP2. This item supports Windows 2000, XP and Vista. I've never been happier with networking equipment in my life. PS The only downside is that the downloaded driver, which you can get…

Do not buy! for internals

Netgear has had problems with its Remove Old Drivers and Install New Drivers Wizard for over a year, and this product is no exception. When updating to the latest driver (due to this adapter's inconsistent network detection behavior) following the instructions on Netgear's website, I was unable to fully uninstall the old driver or install the new one as instructed, even in safe mode. After an hour and a half with Netgear tech support, who was also unable to perform a successful driver update, I

  • I won't say anything

NetGear = Garbage for Computers and Accessories

I installed this after a pretty bad USB adapter. This thing can't hold the signal to save its own life. Right next to the PC I have a Dell laptop with built in WiFi that never loses connection. He often fails to see even the strongest connection. I replaced this POS with a Linksys USB. It works perfectly.
