Netgear has had problems with its Remove Old Drivers and Install New Drivers Wizard for over a year, and this product is no exception. When updating to the latest driver (due to this adapter's inconsistent network detection behavior) following the instructions on Netgear's website, I was unable to fully uninstall the old driver or install the new one as instructed, even in safe mode. After an hour and a half with Netgear tech support, who was also unable to perform a successful driver update, I was told to call Microsoft or the PC manufacturer, or to reformat the hard drive! At that point, they essentially ended the conversation and refused to even escalate the call to a higher-level support team. I have a two month old product left over that is unusable and not connected to the network. Why deal with a company that has been selling a faulty product for an extended period of time (this situation is well documented on Netgear's own tech forum and others) and won't help the customer fix the problem?
