Looks great but awful to wear. There is no ridge on the back of the heel to lift the heel. We had to use a butter knife to get it out from behind because you can't put your finger through the boot to get it out. The shoes are big enough for my two kids with over half an inch of toe room, but neither of my girls can wear the heel alone. New Balance should have put the tongue on the heel and that would have been an easy decision.

After a few wears, so much dirt got stuck under the mesh that I had to wash them. In just one wash, they faded from bright coral to pale pink, and the dirt between the mesh layer and the bottom layer of the shoe turned into dirt and stains. These are expensive shoes, but they don't wash well for a child. Plan to wear them multiple times and don't expect them to be the same. I have had many other pairs of shoes that have washed well but not this one.

I'm giving this shoe 1 star simply because I can't give 0. I was looking forward to these because they were so cute for my son. However, he cannot wear them. There is no back support. The laces cannot be tied, so you have no way to adjust how loose or tight they are. They fit perfectly BUT when he runs his legs slip out from under his back. These are horrible shoes and 100% NOT worth the price. I don't complain and I almost never write a bad review, but I want someone else not to be…
