Slightly smaller and narrower than the NB 812, they are noticeably different from their predecessor - the straps are attached to the shoes with an elastic band and a metal ring that gives you the feel that shoes are always loose due to elastic stretch - this makes the shoe looser and can make you want to close it tight - which I think will cause the elastic to snap prematurely.
