Outdoor Adventures Await with New Balance Nitrel Vintage Boys' Running Shoes Review

The quality is good as expected. My child wears them. He is very active and our shoes usually don't last long. We've had this pair for a few months and I haven't seen any signs of water yet. Will most likely buy the same model if our foot size changes.

Finally there are shoes in plus sizes for babies! I'm so glad I found shoes with velcro AND heel loops so they can be put on quickly and easily. My young son has huge feet for a 2 year old (size 11) - I had to buy these with laces and no loops before I could find them and they took forever to wear. Super thankful for that!

My son is 6 years old and his legs are growing fast. He wore out the first pair and instead of trying something different, he wanted the same pair of shoes. We have bought shoes one size up and will continue to do so until he runs out of shoe size or his tastes change.

Good shoes, light, comfortable. But I received a pair of different sizes 3.5US and 4US. Unfortunately, I only discovered this fact now. very disappointed(

The shoes look great. Easy to put on and comfortable for my son. Good traction. Durability is questionable as the toe box is glued instead of sewn and falls apart after 1 month of wear.

My daughter loves this! Although she is 7 years old and knows how to tie her shoelaces, she loves velcro. They're bright and girly and don't look like regular velcro shoes. She wore them to school, gym class and volleyball practice. Great shoes for the price.

Very disappointing, didn't even last a month. my son has only been wearing them for 3 weeks and the top is already worn out. I have always believed that New Balance offers wide and high-quality shoes, so this reduction in quality is unacceptable.

Bought several pairs for my kids. These are really good shoes, but they wear out very quickly. The front sock fabric was separating from the material and the pair had to be returned after two weeks.

Finally shoes that my child can wear alone! It opens wide enough for him to manipulate (and fine motor skills are NOT a forte). He usually wears wide shoes for the step ritual, but the normal width suited the new balance.

Double strap shoes are hard to find and they are perfect for my son who likes to wear tight shoes. The Velcro lasted 5 months at school. Would definitely buy again.

Bought it for my 4 year old. He tends to go wide but these suit him perfectly. He loved colors! Too bad they made it into adult sizes. They stand up to preschool wear pretty well!

So far, so good. My son finds them comfortable. He wore them to school every day. Although they're a little big (so he can grow up in them), they don't come loose when he walks. They were a little expensive. I hope they last through the summer and fall.

The sizes didn't quite match the 501, which fit a size 1. A little tight but in 1 WIDE they fit well for my little one who wears normal traditional style New Balance 1 shoes.

Velcro layers came off in less than 3 months of use. We love New Balance and the shoes were nice and comfortable so that was very disappointing.

I received them for my son in the first week of September. He's been wearing them every other day for a month, this is the first week of October and the toe is coming off and there are already holes/tears on the sides.

When I saw them, I immediately wanted them for my daughter. The colors are amazing. When she tried them on, she said they looked weird. They have absolutely no cushioning that she needs because her feet are flat and wide. I was so disappointed. Then I waited too long to get them back so now I'm trying to sell them to someone.

My 5 year old loves these shoes! The protector on the bottom is really good which helps with my boy's clumsiness. I'm sure it saved him from countless falls. They look cute, are easy to put on, and "make him move really fast!"

Great durable shoe. My son wore them for most of the school year with no issues other than the expected dirt, which I cleaned off with toothpaste and baking soda. He also wears an AFO on one leg and the wide size was perfect for his needs.
