I'm really glad I took the risk and bought these shoes for my kid who just started running (I also added gel insoles) but I'm still not sure about the sizing and the Size chart doesn't help. She is 8, so right between the sizes "small child" and "big child". My son has flat feet from overpronation. These shoes helped stabilize the situation. He is also very rough with shoes, but these hold up well. When he outgrows them they're pretty worn out, but for us they last a long time.

I bought them for my daughter in June. When school started in August, they already had holes. Keep in mind my daughter wore flip flops for most of the summer, not tennis shoes. They weren't worth the money for wearing for less than two months.

A little under (2) two months and the left and right soles were separating! I will never buy these NB models. Never had any problems with other models. Buy at your own risk and DO NOT recommend these shoes for children.

These shoes wear out quickly. They are less than 3 months old and have a large hole and the sole is separating from the shoe. We bought New Balance from a local NB store and they lasted 7 months. It was disappointing.

Great shoes but the worst ties I've ever dealt with. They always resolve after a short time. Definitely a disadvantage. The manufacturer should recall them and/or offer better quality cable ties.

I've been buying new scales for years, even in the same style, and this has never happened to me within the first month.
