All my kids have been wearing New Balance shoes for 6 years. My boys have wide feet and find the New Balance to be the most comfortable running shoes. When this pair arrived my son loved the way they looked but when he tried them on they were incredibly difficult to put on. These are pretty serious shoes - definitely more serious than my kid usually wears. I expect them to hold up better than normal kids shoes when hiking, hiking, climbing etc. They are basically traditional trail running shoes that an adult might need but are made for little kids feet. The only thing I don't particularly like is putting on the shoes.
