These shoes look good but they are regular laces, not bungee laces. See photo. I also increased the size based on other reviews and they are too big. They definitely fit true to size.

My son loves these shoes. They are very comfortable and the sizing chart was accurate. They slip on but look like shoelaces, which is a big plus. He can easily put them on himself. They look great with almost any outfit.

For my kindergarten child and me too. He can put them on himself, they hold the foot so well. From the way it walks, this shoe is well designed for little boys with what I jokingly refer to as "round feet".

My 6 year old loves these shoes and so do I! He can put them on and take them off himself and doesn't have to worry about the laces on his shoes. Beautiful, light but durable shoes with a flexible sole! Would order again!

Non-removable elastic cord broke after first wear. I will not buy this pair again. Very disappointed; Our whole family wears New Balance shoes and this is the first problem we have. Luckily this has happened now and not in a few months of not being able to return them.

I love her for me. Great deal for women buying children's sizes. 5.5 is women's 7. I also love that I can easily put it on, the faux laces are awesome. However, if you have a width as wide as mine, consider a regular one. The New Balance feels wide right out of the box and is the third pair I wished for a regular width.

These shoes offer the support you need for the laces, but easily slide down the shoe. My son said that his foot sometimes falls out of the boot when he moves a certain way, but that's true if the laces are loose as well.

They are not expensive Adidas and Nike - which all our shoe stores seem to carry - both Adidas and Nike didn't go far enough - he wore a pair of Nikes and had a lot of problems with foot pain when we went out for our morning walk.
