A week later I noticed that a couple of screws were missing and shortly thereafter the device had to be held together with a rubber band, rendering it virtually unusable. A better approach would be to secure the two narrow ends with a rubber band to allow for stretch.

This is a high quality and durable item. For the money it was definitely worth it. The kit came with a wrench (wrench) to adjust the thickness, which I have not used yet.
