Description of New Pig Absorbing Absorbency MAT485

Eight layers of 100 percent polypropylene are thermally bonded to make Pig Mat the strongest mat on the market; won't rip, tear or fray even when saturated. Exclusive dimple pattern speeds wicking of liquid throughout mat for faster, easier cleanup. Highly absorbent, fine-fiber construction won't leave behind liquids or fiber residue. Absorbs and retains oils and oil-based liquids - including lubricants and fuels - without taking in a drop of water. Bright white color makes absorbed oil easier to see; draws attention to machine leaks and clearly shows saturation level during spill response.

Not Effective: Disappointed with This Absorbent Mat

As a result of my tests, i determined that this absorbent mat was not effective in handling hazardous materials. The mat had a difficult time absorbing liquids and was not as durable as expected..

Excellent absorbency and water repellency!

This material is great for absorbing or catching oily substances without soaking in water. I had a particular need to remove the kerosene from the sump when a pump seal failed without priming the water. A few streaks of it over the course of a few days cleared it up pretty well. Also great for placing under items that may leak oil or during maintenance when you don't want water to pool in the liner.
